The 2012 BC Library Conference regularly attracts more than 500 attendees and will take place in Richmond at the Sheraton Vancouver Airport Hotel, over three days, May 10 - 12. Attendees are offered excellent rates at the conference hotel.
The 2012 BC Library "Licence to Read" Conference will highlight libraries' roles in providing and advocating for access to electronic materials, supporting the learning of reading, both text and the new electronic environment, and acting as a force for change in ensuring that information is not hidden from public view. The 2012 Conference will encompass the provision of the technology and tools needed for access to information. The 2012 theme thus encourages us to engage enthusiastically with our community and commit to better the world through librarianship.
Attendees include librarians, library staff and trustees from throughout British Columbia, as well as library vendors from Canada, the United States and beyond.
